Linda Mizzi is a singer-songwriter based in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Seamlessly blending folk, jazz, and blues, she draws on influences as diverse as Rickie Lee Jones, Patty Griffin, Beth Hart and Doris Day! Much to the delight of some, Linda refuses to fit comfortably into any one musical niche—instead weaves all her musical influences—along with life experiences, melodies and lyrics into her songs. Being a self-taught musician, both on guitar and piano, she has never allowed this to hinder her goals and passion for songwriting—and continues today to grow as an artist—embracing her own guitar technique and style. She is a creative spirit who can both warm souls and sometimes challenge soul—with the relaying of stories of life through her prolific songwriting.
Linda performs as both a solo artist and with her band. She is joined by Alexander Keller on bass guitar and cello; Stefano Cosentino on both lead guitar and double bass; and Ian Neil Morrison on drums and percussion. When not on tour, she is also joined by her dear friend Lindsay Tebbutt (Choirboys) on drums.
Linda has performed at the Maldon Folk Festival in Victoria both in 2015 and in 2017 with her band; Gulgong Folk Festival in 2014, 2015 and 2017 with the band, and the Sydney Blues and Roots Festival, Windsor back in 2010.
