By car: Katoomba is 1½ - 2 hours west of Sydney CBD via the M4 motorway and the Great Western Highway.

By train: Trains to the Blue Mountains leave from Central station, Strathfield, Parramatta, Blacktown and Penrith. Check out the Cityrail timetable (choose Blue Mountains Line)
