Nanci Griffith to play bmmf!
There has been phenomenal news since our last bulletin. The legendary country-folk singer-songwriter Nanci Griffith has been signed up and will be performing at the festival on Sunday March 14th. This Grammy Award winning artist is best friend and neighbour to Emmylou Harris, and has 19 albums behind her as she heads to Australia with just a sideman for back-up. We’re looking forward to a rare up close and personal show with this outstanding artist.
Nanci will be leading a strong contingent of singer-songwriters from the States that also includes Chris Smither, Josh White Jnr., Kim Richey, John McCutcheon, Gregory Page and Bob Malone.
There will be plenty of blues, bluegrass and folk music, as well as great cross cultural music and a strong Australian indigenous line-up.
There will be no shortage of entertainment for the kids and some comedy too.
