The Inadequates
The Inadequates are a modern acoustic sensation that is making waves on the Australian folk scene. Dressed in vibrant suits, their high-energy performances are infectious, making them festival favourites everywhere they perform. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Punch Brothers, Nickel Creek, and Mumford & Sons, the Inadequates are constantly pushing boundaries, splicing the intimacy of traditional acoustic music with the exhilarating energy of a modern rock ensemble.
At the core of their sound are their tight three-part harmonies and technical skill, which they showcase through their original sets. They have just finished recording their debut album which they are thrilled to showcase at BMMF. Imagine if Split Enz played mandolin, accordion and acoustic guitar, then listened exclusively to folk music. This is an act you don’t want to miss, but if you do you’ll probably find them at a jam somewhere.
